Welcome to the homepage of the Kászonszék sustainable community!

       Our aim is to establish a sustainable community in a rural area of Transylvania.
We are organising the "Kászonszék Ecovillage", based on folk traditions and lifestyle, in a manner similar to existing examples of eco-settlements around the world. We are launching a wide range of programs in cooperation with local participants and the young people of the neighboring towns.
The development and operation of the programmes are carried out by volunteers who are working with us on this project. Each participant may take part in a suitable program and help to organise it. In this way we can shape our future with a great flexibility, while bearing in mind our fundamental principles and objectives.

       Fundamental objectives: To lead a healthy lifestyle, to respect nature and to preserve traditional knowledge and the cohesion of the community. To develop a sustainable area with the help of a cohesive community.
